Social Statement
In our relationship to society, we are guided by the "cultural value" concept: wherever we do business, we would like to help to enrich cultural life, promote the advancement of society and create things new. As a corporate citizen, we take on co-responsibility for the community around us in all regions we operate in through educating the next generation, donating to noble causes and giving time to the community and its local needs.
SMX is committed to conducting business in an ethical and socially responsible manner. This relates to all aspects of our business: while we are accountable to our shareholders, we take into account the interests of all our stakeholders including our employees, our customers, our suppliers as well as the local community, and the environment in which we operate.
Our Community Work
Our commitment to the community is always led by a philosophy of giving more to the community than what we take from it. Our contributions though may be a small drop in the ocean but our approach and thoughts are for a noble cause.
At SMX, every team member carries a personal responsibility to work for a noble cause and joins hands for any event organized across the world.
Such an event was organized in Villars, Switzerland on the 14th & 15th January 2006 by Jacques Villeneuve, Formula 1 Race driver. 6 Skiers were sponsored by SMX iNet Global Team and the money raised was for “Sport for the Disabled.”
East Meets West 2006, an event organized by Imperial College Indian Society on their 15th year Annual show on Sunday 19th February at The Shepherd's Bush Empire in London was sponsored by SMX. The funds raised are for Hope Worldwide and Gwalior Children’s Hospital.
- Hope Worldwide is an International Charity that changes lives by harnessing the compassion and commitment of dedicated staff and volunteers to deliver sustainable, high-impact, community based services to the poor and needy.
- Gwalior Children’s Hospital Charity is working to help and provide for the poor, needy, destitute, disabled and underprivileged.
